Got nicely decorated, spotless room with a large balcony, AC, for example. Unbeatable and nice location - within walking distance of everywhere we needed...

An air of peaceful charm embodies the essence of this hotel, transporting guests to a time when distinguished Duro Family members, like steel magnate Mr Pedro Duro and pioneer aeronaut Mr Jesus Fernandez Duro, roamed the premises. The hotel's main house, with its 22 beds, offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere that truly captures the tranquility of a summer retreat.
Limited dining recommendations in nearby Oviedo.

Bathroom a little bit old style and phonic isolation could be improved.(Room n°3 is close to the lift ).

The room at Hotel Quinta Duro was cozy and had a lovely ambiance. The comfortable bed and soft linens made me feel right at home. I also enjoyed having a cable TV and an electric kettle in the room, perfect for a relaxing evening.
The house is over 300 years old, which adds charm, but also means that some areas may feel a bit worn.

The room is perfectly clean and unique and essentials you need, including overly efficient air-conditioning and a writing desk, is right there. The location is great in a peaceful area, right by other attractions, early and Gijon en route to-and-from the ferry port😃

Quiet location. Friendly service. Good breakfast. Family home turned into hotel.
Room on the ground floor rather dark and small.

I had assumed that there would be a restauarnt for dinner. Arriving late, tired and hungry at a hotel in the countryside where there are no eating facilities is challenging. I think this shpould be made very clear on the internet

The hotel is a wood panelled mansion - spotlessly maintained with high quality fittings. With good security set just outside Gijon centre it was an excellent place to stay. Wonderful room with stately beds and a bathroom that could be a template for how to furnish properly. This family run hotel puts most uk hotels to shame and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
I got a phone call (in Spanish - of which I understand nothing) the evening before I was due to leave. I presume it was from Reception in the main building. I had paid on arrival (because I was leaving at 4am). I guess they had got their wires crossed as to whether I had paid. Nevertheless, they knew I spoke no Spanish (and the son had taken my payment). It was just as I was heading to bed (8 pm) for an early moring long drive. It was a small mistake, but a real shame since it was the only thing that prevents me rating this hotel as 'absolutely fantastic'.
